The most precious unseen wonder
Is the beauty deep within ones soul
When precious is the hand of God
Making its essence pure and whole.
Many look for a beauty that's seen
Striking features and flowing hair
Without looking past the surface
To notice the spirit isn't there.
The hands of time are never ending
A face of beauty will fade in time
And the body shall also whither away
As the grapes long left on the vine.
Embers of a spirit can grow cold
When denied air, the breath of God
And the flaming torch of his truth
Is covered over in beauty’s façade.
Lasting beauty dwells within a spirit
Held deep beyond the flesh that dies
A pretty face of beauty fades away
But of those held by Christ, will rise.
The most precious treasure of all
One beauty that will forever shine
Is a soul that's in the hand of God
A beauty that will last for all times.
